Review: Starving Artist Cookbook
This review is not based on the first-hand discussion because I have not been able to find the panel where the lecture was supposed to be held.
I found this article on the Paris Review website:

In this article, there is an important theme regarding the starving artist cookbook piece that, “Everything I Do Is Art” and “Every Individual Does Individual Art.” which is a crucial mindset for an artist. Said by Confucius, "Dining and sexual intercourse is the most basic and important requirement for the human being," I appreciate how Sara Zin has broken down such a big subject as art into the simplest daily cookbook. The concept of "starving artist" has a strong social quality that strangely in some ways artists are expected to be starving. My understanding is that when our body is experiencing a physical discomfort, we are able to sense the existence and therefore getting closer to the level of "selfness."
The bookfair as a whole is an art market where creative individuals are able to find inspiration, exchange ideas and generate new thoughts. Besides the bookfair itself, my favorite spot is the skyscape installation by James Turrell. It is such a tranquil little spot in the crowded bookfair. I enjoy sitting down on the bench and keep staring at the sky, which becomes a meditation.
