Final Project Proposal
Final Project Concept The concept of my final project is a reflection upon the waste from the market with a focus on the mass production and pollution caused by excess food packages. I would like to create a painting made with food packages from our daily waste. First I will collect food packages and glue them together into a big piece. This piece then becomes the canvas as well as the subject matter of the painting. The big piece will be stretched and stapled to an oil painting frame made with wooden stretcher bars. I consider this piece a still life and a landscape painting, which is actually an irony because the piece itself is just a bunch of trash put together. This opposition then creates an interesting discussion on the boundary between trash and beauty. There is an artist reference to Rauschenberg.
